Haskell C. Counts
SARASOTA, Fla. [mdash] Haskell C. Counts, 84, recently of Sarasota, Florida, passed away after an extended illness.
After retiring from the Post Office, he spent his time volunteering. These organizations included: St. John's Hospital, Merchants Older Buddies, Habitat, Paramount Theatre, Red Cross, VA, Harter House, and First United Methodist Church.
He is survived by a daughter, Kelly Hornback of Sarasota; son, James Counts of Mesa, Arizona; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patty.
A private service will be held Nov. 9 at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Anderson First United Methodist Church or Habitat for Humanity.
