Henry J. Brown, 84, of Anderson, passed away on May 20, 2024, surrounded by his family. Henry was born on March 28, 1940, in Anderson to the late Herbert and Madeline L. (Lipps) Brown. He married his loving wife, Cheryl Brown, on May 18, 2001. After graduating from high school, Henry faithfully served his country in the United States Army from 1961-1964. He was honorably discharged from the Army and then began working at Delco-Remy, where he retired after 31 years. Henry was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Anderson, Indiana.

He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed fishing with his best friend, Gary, and his two sons, Joey and Bryan. He loved westerns and was a huge fan of John Wayne. Henry enjoyed gardening and growing tomatoes with his wife. He was an animal lover, especially his three dogs.

Henry will be dearly missed by his wife, Cheryl; his children, Rhonda (Chip) Broderick, Tammie (Jim) Humphrey, Joey (Kim) Brown, Bryan (Tranda) Brown, Michele (Brad) Brown and Ulhonda Brown; daughter-in-law Lori Wagner; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Russell Lazenby, Melvin Brown, Alvin Lazenby, Leo Lazenby and Pete Owens; and sister Joanne.

The family would like to extend a thank you to the caring staff at Countryside Manor.

The visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home, 515 E. 53rd St., Anderson, IN 46013. The graveside ceremony will begin at 2:30 p.m. at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
