ANDERSON — Jane Ann Caldwell, 89, of Anderson, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on March 29, 2025.
She was born on May 6, 1935, in Elwood, Indiana, the daughter of Doris and Oakley Skillman.
Jane Ann graduated from Frankton High School in 1953.
She worked for the Anderson Banking Company, and retired after 38 years of service in 1996.
She liked watching college basketball and her Purdue Boilermakers, but she especially loved to spend time with her grandchildren. She adored her two grandchildren immensely and was passionately involved in their lives, always offering love, wisdom, and unwavering support. Whether attending their school events or sporting activities, sharing cherished traditions, or simply spending time together, her presence was a constant source of warmth and joy.
Jane Ann is survived by her loving son, Todd (Chandra) Caldwell of Pendleton; grandchildren, Emma and Ben Caldwell; sister-in-law, Anita Skillman, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fred Caldwell; siblings, Eugene Skillman, Marvin Skillman, Walter Skillman, Glenn Skillman, Marjorie Simmons, and Frances Dominick.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, Anderson.
Services will follow visitation at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Ron Mills officiating.
Burial will take place in Anderson Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's charity of choice.

Plant a tree: How does it work

When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.

An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.

After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.

Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.

June - December

Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
