On March 27, Jane Ann (Ford) Webber from Lawrence, Kansas, died. She was 85 years old.
Jane is survived by her son, Jeff Webber (Benita) of Kansas City, Missouri; and her daughter, Julie Webber-Copley (Irl) of Lawrence, Kansas. She is also survived by her 12 grandchildren, Cora Webber (Kevin Canzonieri) of San Diego, California, Anna Webber (Pan Graham) of Edmonton, Canada, Cliff Copley Jr. (Sara) of Raymore, Missouri, Melissa Copley of Kerrville, Texas, Kurtis Copley (Jem Hutalla) of Lawrence, Kansas, Christina Copley of Peabody, Kansas, Kit Copley (Kai Milanovich) of Seattle, Washington, Karl Copley (Amber Mills) of Lawrence, Kansas, Jade Copley (Britt Waggoner) of White Cloud, Kansas, Raven Copley of Lawrence, Kansas, and Tyler Copley of Lawrence, Kansas; her five great-grandchildren, Ewan Canzonieri, Rowan Graham-Webber, and Violet, Arlo, and Elijah Copley; her nephews and nieces, Benn Ford (Ariel) of Asheville, North Carolina, Eric Webber (LaShell) of Moore, Oklahoma, Debbie Warner (Tom) of Indian Shores, Florida, Adele Ford Bonica (Joe) of Abbeville, Mississippi, and Dara Jo Webber of New Albany, Indiana.
Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Webber; her parents, Art and Pauline; her mother-in-law, Ethel Webber; and her brother, Jack Ford. She is further survived by other close relatives and friends.
Jane was born on Jan. 18, 1940, in Anderson, Indiana to Art and Pauline Ford. She graduated from Anderson High School in 1957.
Jane was crowned the honored queen of the Anderson Bethel 12 of the International Order of Job's Daughters in 1956. Jane married Jack Webber on Aug. 1, 1959, after meeting during Jane's senior year in high school. They welcomed Jeff in 1961 and Julie in 1969. Jane and Jack were the owners and operators of Jack Webber Real Estate ("Work with Webber, the Webber Way Works!") and Sophie's Decorator Shop from 1974 to 1981. They moved to Fort Myers, Florida, in 1981 where she worked as the Human Resources Manager for Mariner Group Inc. and they lived there until their move to Lenexa, Kansas, in 1994. Whilst in Kansas, Jane worked as the administrative assistant to the Assistant Superintendent of Blue Valley School District until her retirement.
Her favorite hobbies included antiquing, collecting white wicker furniture, decorating her home, visiting Vermont, and helping take care of her grandchildren. Jane and Jack were married for 56 years before Jack's death in 2014.
A graveside service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, April 7, at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
