Jason Rodney Barnes also known as "Phats," 28, passed away on Friday, May 13, 2011. He was a former resident of Muncie. He attended Anderson High School and was a former employee of DIY in Muncie. He leaves to cherish his memory, one daughter, Kamara Barnes; two stepsons, Andrew, Traci Abrams; and their mother, Mylissa Abrams; father, Ronnie Robinson; stepfather, Kevin Dixon; uncle/father, L.P. Pointer III; aunt/mother, Debra Pointer; aunt, Cheryl (Jackie) Brooks; six sisters, Adrena Lynn (Frank) Woods, Deborah Robinson, EsShanelle Robinson, Denise Robinson, LaToya Pointer and Regina Turner; four brothers, Mychal (Jackie) Peak, Donsha Moore and Donnie Smith; one special brother, Tyson Cole; three special friends, Kelli Johnson, Jennifer Murphy and Renee Kimmering; two special cousins, Steven Wilson and Michael Watson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his mother, Karen Barnes Dixon; and his grandparents, Roberta Bonner, James Henry Watson, Mary Youngblood and Delbert Robinson. Services will be held at noon Saturday at Gholar & Gholar Funeral Service, 2223 Nichol Ave., Anderson, with Elder Jimmy Sloss officiating. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery.
