Joe Coleman Jr.
Joe married the love of his life, Hilda L. McGhee, on June 18, 1977.
Joe was a computer engineer, retired from Delco Remy. He was also a professor at Ivy Tech Community College, a substitute teacher for Anderson Community Schools, and also a tutor.
Joe was a faithful Christian, serving in many capacities at the Anderson Zion Baptist Church. He served as a deacon, Sunday school teacher, member of the male chorus and also active on the sound system committee.
Joe was a devoted family man leaving to cherish his memories, Hilda Coleman, wife; Joe N. Coleman III (Amanda Misner, special friend), son; twin daughters, Jeanna (Jerry)Simon and Jon'ee Coleman; and seven grandchildren. Sisters, Dr. Nancy Greer Williams, and Darla (Donald Ray) Goodwill; brothers, Paul (Martha) Coleman, Thomas Coleman, and Charles Michael (Robin) Coleman; and sister-in-law, Monsue Coleman.
Services will be at noon Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018, at Anderson Zion Baptist Church. Visitation hours will be from 10 a.m. to noon at the church, with the Rev. Victor Hill and Minister Doyle Moore officiating.
Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery.
