Anderson, IN - John "JD HOG" Hopkins, 83, was rewarded his heavenly wings on Jan. 19, 2026.

John was born Nov. 23, 1942, in Brooksville, Mississippi, to John Cunningham and Nellie Allen. He was employed by Prime Battery as a battery technician and consultant.

John leaves to cherish his memories, wife, Jannie Hopkins; children, Sandra (Faye) Stewart, Trina Hopkins, John (Michelle) Hopkins, Jermaine "HOG" (Alisha "Belle") Hopkins; siblings, June "Dudly" Hopkins, Eula Pearl "Beuke" Hopkins, Ann Hopkins, Hattie Mae Hopkins, Nellie Hopkins, Rosie (Terry) Macon, Dan (Sheila) Hopkins; 25 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.

Funeral service will be at noon on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2026, at Glazebrooks Funeral Service, 2822 Nichol Ave., with viewing two hours prior to service.
