Judith Baker
September 5, 1936 - March 26, 2025
ANDERSON - Judy Baker, 88, passed away on March 26, 2025, at Ascension St. Vincent after a short illness.
She was born in Anderson. During her childhood, she loved skating at her uncle's ice skating rink and helping her dad at his ice plant. Later in life, she enjoyed traveling with her husband and their cat in their RV, including participating in the Holiday Rambler RV Club.
She is survived by her brother, Larry Gibson (Dixie), and daughter, Terri Miller. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jim Miller (Katrina), Holly Woodby (Dan), David Baker III (Kara), Scott Shaw (Rachelle), Joseph Miller (Kelli), Chris Baker (Barbie), and Todd Shaw; and several nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Marlin Gibson; her mother, Betty Sebree Gibson Homan; her husband, David Baker; her sister, Melody Homan Brown; her brother, Jeff Homan; her daughter, Sherry Shaw; and her son, David Baker II.
The funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, April 4, at Loose Funeral Homes. Visitation will be two hours prior. Burial will take place in Maplewood Cemetery, Anderson.

Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

January - May
Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.
June - December
Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
