ALVARADO, Texas - Judy Connor, 81, of Alvarado, Texas, passed away after a short illness on Oct. 29, 2020. She was born Aug. 24, 1939, in Anderson, Indiana.
She graduated from Anderson High School and lived in Brown County, Indiana, for the first part of her life but settled comfortably in Alvarado, Texas, in her later years where she was surrounded by her dedicated husband of 55 years and an abundance of loving friends.
Judy was a woman with an overflowing faith in God. She and her husband, Larry, operated a printing ministry, Bread of Life Baptist Press, in Alvarado, Texas. She enjoyed singing in the church choir, cooking and baking, trips to Branson, Missouri, and trips to visit her children and grandchildren. She loved to fish, do crossword puzzles and play Dominoes 42. She will be deeply missed.
Judy is survived by her husband Larry and their two children, Terri (Mike) Wirt, of Brownsburg,and David Connor (Linda Miller), of Wilmington, North Carolina; grandchildren, Riley Connor, Heather (Autumn Fechner) True, Jessica (Charles) Ingraham, Katie (John) Ames and Jeff Wirt; four great-grandchildren; brother, John (Connie) Kanable; sister-in-law, Marsha Kanable; her dearest friend, Gloria Brewster; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ken and Alice Kanable; brother Robert Kanable; and nephew Mark Kanable.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, with the service following at 12:30 p.m. at her beloved Galilean Baptist Church in Cedar Hill, Texas. Judy's service can be seen live on Jeter and Son Funeral Home Facebook page. Their website is jeterandson.com.
