Anderson, Indiana - Karen Elaine Smith, 75, of Anderson, passed away on June 5, 2025, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
She was born on March 16, 1950, in Anderson, to her parents, Rex and Carmen Walker.
She graduated from Anderson High School.
Karen wore many hats throughout her life, but in her later years she was a homemaker and she cherished being able to spend that time with her family. She also loved tending to her flowers and her pets.
Karen is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Gerry Smith; three sons, John (Lisa) Williams, Chad (Tisha) Williams and Cory McKay; two stepchildren, Marlo Smith and Grant Smith; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Rex Walker Jr.; and granddaughter, Amber Williams.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, June 12, 2025, at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, Anderson.
Services will follow visitation at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Gary Marcum officiating. Burial will take place in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
