Kathleen Ann Liparidis, 60, of Encinitas, born Aug 16, 1955, in Anderson, Indiana, to Robert and Ella Jean Dickey, passed away at home on May 19, 2016.

A graduate of Anderson High in 1973 and Indiana University School of Nursing in 1977, she relocated to La Jolla, California. She began her nursing career at Sharp Memorial Hospital and became a transplant coordinator at Scripps Green Hospital, retiring in 1998.

Kathleen traveled the world with her husband of 33 years, George, and daughter, Alexandra. She loved family, music, theater, museums, gourmet cooking, flowers, and lived her life with courage, determination and dignity.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her kind spirit. The family also thanks her three kidney donors, including her brother Patrick. If not for their generous gift, so many would have remained untouched by her contagious zest for life.

Survivors include her loving husband and daughter; mother-in-law Afroditi; sisters, Julia (Tom), Mary, and Laura; brothers, Patrick (Roxanne), Steven (Kris), Joseph, David (Dawn) and Daniel; and sister-in-law Maria (Peter). She is loved by her many nieces and nephews and family in Greece.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at El Camino Memorial Encinitas Chapel in Sorrento Valley.
