Middletown, IN - Larry Dale Bond, 80, of Middletown went to be with the Lord Jan. 4, 2026, at his residence.

Larry was born April 17, 1945, in Anderson, the son of Bernard and Phyllis (Kimble) Bond. He graduated from Anderson High School in 1963.

Larry was a sergeant in the United States Army.

He was a committee man for Delco Remy for 36 years before retiring in 2000.

Larry was an active member of First Baptist Church in Anderson. He was also active in the Senior Bowling league. He served on the board of United Faith Housing.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Nancy (Howard) Bond of Middletown; daughter, Lori (Tony) Zavala of New Washington; son, Ben (Ashlee) Bond of Elwood; brother, Kavin (Sherry) Bond of Pennsylvania; three sisters-in-law, Theresa Bond, Teresa Bond and Debbie Bond; 11 grandchildren, Drake (Cene) Bond, Mikayla (Shawn) Bond, Jeramy (Brooklyn) Bond, Cecelia Bond, Becky Patton, Maddie Patton, Dillen (Amanda) Harper, Ricky Harper, Zack Bond, Patrick Bond, Kristen Bond; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Charles "Chuck" Bond; and three brothers, Garry, Chris and Dennis Bond.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 12, 2026, at First Baptist Church with Dan Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 12, 2026, at the First Baptist Church.

Memorial contributions may be given to First Baptist Church or the charity of the donor's choice.
