BARBEAU, Mich. - Lawrence "Larry" Abel, 80, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2013, in Barbeau, Mich. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marsha Abel; son, Michael Abel; parents, Lawrence and Margaret Abel; and sister, Mary Anne. Survivors include his daughter, Tammy Beard; stepson, Bob Wessel; three grandchildren, Tara, Matthew and Stacie; and brothers, Joseph Abel, Edward Abel and Michael Abel. He was a Korean War veteran and was a charter boat captain for many years in the Florida Keys. Cremation will follow. Arrangements handled by C.S. Mulder Funeral Home.
