ANDERSON - Leah T. (Baugh) Abbott, 49, of Anderson, died on July 11, 2014, from complications following surgery. She was born Sept. 30, 1964, in Muncie, and grew up in Anderson and graduated from Frankton High School in 1984. She is survived by her mother, Judy (Covey) Baugh of Anderson; two children, Eric Abbott of Apopka, Fla., and Kalin Day of Alexandria; a sister, Teresa (husband, Danny) Barrett of Middletown; a brother, Tim Whitworth of Anderson; two uncles, Michael (wife, Sharon) Covey of Arp, Texas, and Kirt (wife, Marsha) Baugh of Gas City; eight nieces and nephews, Leslie Mirando, Andy Harry, Amber Learned, Tiffany Holmes, Curtis Whitworth, Billy Whitworth, Megan Baugh, and Jacob Baugh; several great-nieces and nephews, cousins, and a longtime companion, Ron Barkdull. She was preceded in death by her father, Manuel Baugh; a brother, Steve Baugh; aunt, Jackie Razor; and grandparents, Viola and Herbert Covey and Bert and Stella Vanhoose. Services will be at noon Wednesday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with the Rev. Bill Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Hillsboro Cemetery.
