Anderson, IN - Margaret "Smoke" Mallett, 81, passed away Jan. 9, 2026.
Margaret was the life of the party, loved playing cards and dancing. Her spirited laugh and integrity defined her. She will be greatly missed.
Margaret is survived by her children, Kenneth (Andrea) Woods, Terrance Collier, Tonia (Mallett) Robinson, Britt Mallett; bonus son, Therman Barclay Jr.; siblings, Linda Byrd, Dennis Mimms, Konnie Mimms, Kevin Mimms, Lisa Mimms, Tyrone Mimms, Dorothy Nelson, Leon Nelson Jr., Patricia Nelson, Linda Faye Nelson, Maggie Nelson; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her partner in life, Therman Barclay Sr.; mother, Ella Bell (Mimms) George; father, Leon Nelson Sr.; bonus father, Horace Mimms; son, Edward Collier; bonus daughter, Danita Barclay; son-in-law, Albert Robinson; sisters, Kandie Mimms, and Suzy Mimms.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, 2026, at Glazebrooks Funeral Service, 2822 Nichol Ave.
Viewing 9 to 11 a.m. prior to service. Burial in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
