Margaret F. "Margo/ Margy" Townsend, 75, of Pendleton, went to her heavenly home on Friday, April 4, 2025, at the Rawlins House following an extended illness.

She was born Dec. 15, 1949, to Don and J. Margaret (Chafin) Wigner in Anderson. She graduated from Madison Heights High School in 1968 and the Indiana Business College with an associate degree in Business.

Margaret worked in banking as a teller and eventually became an associate consultant for American Federal Bank, as well as a medical claims consultant for Unified Group Service.

On June 2, 1979, she married the love of her life, Terry Townsend, in Anderson. Margaret and Terry lived in Pendleton, for several years.

She was a member of the Elks Club Ladies Auxiliary, and she enjoyed sewing, and cooking, and was known for her meatloaf. She was also an avid reader.

Besides her husband of 46 years, Terry, she is also survived by stepson, Darin Townsend (Gwen); grandchildren, Keely Allen (Brayton), Chloe and Tanner Townsend; brother, Gary Wigner (Peggy); brother-in-law, Brooks Townsend; nephew, Chris Townsend (Jennifer); and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister-in-law, Pam Townsend; brother-in-law, Barney Townsend; nephew, Jeff Townsend.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 11, 2025, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Kristine Marshall officiating. Private family entombment will follow in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may call at Loose Funeral Homes on Friday, April 11, 2025, from 11 a.m. until service time.
