Marilyn Swain (Joan) Obituary
Anderson, IN - Joan, 93 years young, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2026, at Community Hospital.
Joan was a mom, grandmother, great- grandmother, and recently a great-great-grandmother. She loved playing cards, golfing, bingo, and enjoying her time with family and friends.
She has spent the last few years living her best life at Primrose Retirement Community, where she met many new friends and even picked up a few new activities along the way.
She is survived by her children, James H. Swain (Jamie) Cathy Asbury (Steve) Beth Vandergrift (Mark); 19 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grand-child; stepbrother, Vaughn "Butch" Kuhns; stepsister, Jeanette Raznick.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James P. Swain; daughter, Melissa D. Swain-Morris; her parents; in-laws; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026, at 1 p.m. at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service. Burial will follow in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be held two hours prior to the service, beginning at 11 a.m.
Memorial contributions may be given to Shriner's Hospital.
