Lapel, In - Martha "Jody" Campfield, 85, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, devotion, and quiet strength.

Jody was the beloved wife of William "Larry" Campfield for 55 years. She was previously married to Cecil J. Bankson, with whom she shared her two daughters, Terri and Lori. Her life was centered around her family, and she found her greatest joy in the time she spent with those she loved. She was especially blessed to live to see her great-grandchildren, a testament to the strong and loving family she helped create.

Survivors include her daughters, Terri Gibson (late husband, Ron) and Lori Gossett (Michael); stepdaughter, Ramonica "Romy" Powell; sister, Annabelle Cook; niece, Ellen Wilson (Don); nephew, Jim Heffernan (Lisa); and a dear family friend, Brad Burk. Each of them carries forward her spirit of kindness, resilience, and unconditional love.

In accordance with her wishes, no service is planned. Her family will honor her memory privately, holding close the love and lessons she shared throughout her life.

Though she is no longer with us, Jody's presence will continue to be felt in the lives she touched and the family she cherished so deeply.
