Anderson, IN - Mary Angela "Angel" Alexander, 57, of Anderson, passed away on Oct. 27, 2025, at IU Medical Center in Indianapolis, IN following a brief illness.

She was born on April 29, 1968, in Anderson, to Elmer and Donna Davis. She graduated in the class of 1986 from Anderson High School and from Ball State University with a bachelor degree in elementary education.

She taught special education for over 30 years at East Brook Elementary, Alexandria Community School, Anderson Community Schools, Madison Grant Schools, Anderson Preparatory Academy and Liberty Christian School.

She was a member of Parkview Church of the Nazarene. She loved antique shopping, attending festivals, watching movies, listening to music, singing in the choir, playing the piano; playing card games, and her dogs. She loved hosting family events and was known for her cooking.

She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Donald Timothy "Tim" Alexander of Anderson; son, Donald (Jessica) Alexander of Indianapolis; mother-in-law, Shirley Alexander of Westfield; five siblings, Janesia "Nish" Smith of Lawrence, Indiana, Labella "Deanie" Wallace of Anderson, Belinda "Linda" (Dan) Alexander of Anderson, and Ricci "Rick" Davis and Randy Davis, both Anderson; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Elmer Davis; her mother, Donna (Rummell) Lawson; daughter, Amie Alexander; nephews, J.D. Wallace and Randy "Bo" Davis; and niece, Sandi Best.

Memorial service will be at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2025, at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastor Dan Alexander officiating. Burial will take place at Mendon Cemetery in Pendleton at a later date.

Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Riley Children's Hospital.
