FRANKTON Michael G. Dougherty, 54, of Frankton, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2017, at his home in Frankton. He was born on July 9, 1962 in Greenfield, Indiana, to the late Arthur and Margaret (Archibald) Dougherty.

Michael graduated from Greenfield-Central High School and then enlisted in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. He would later attend the ATA Training Academy in Indianapolis. Michael married the love of his life, Christina (Hull) McGilliard, on Aug. 4, 1995. He then spent his career as an Airline Mechanic with Republic Airways until his retirement. Michael was a member of the Frankton American Legion, NRA, and ASPCA.

Surviving Michael is his wife, Christina Dougherty of Frankton.

Preceding Michael in death are his parents; and brother, Arthur P. Dougherty.

Visitation for Michael will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 25, 2017, at Glendale Christian Church, 1788 Haynes Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46240. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. immediately following the visitation, also at the church. Burial will be held at a later date.
