Fishers, Indiana - Pamela Marie Parker Rubenstein, aged 77, of Fishers, Indiana, passed away following an extended illness.
Born on Oct. 26, 1948, Pam graduated from Warren Central High School. She met her husband, Jerry Rubenstein, on a blind date, leading to a 55-year marriage marked by mutual love and respect.
Later in life, Pam developed a passion for acting and became active in the local theatre community, performing at the Anderson Main Stage Theatre and the Paramount Theatre. Among her roles, she was notably recognized for her portrayal of The Wicked Witch of the West in The Wizard of Oz.
In addition to her theatrical involvement, she was passionate about horseback riding and instructed others in the discipline. She demonstrated a lifelong dedication to animal welfare and served two terms as president of B'nai B'rith Women.
She is survived by her husband, Jerome "Jerry" Rubenstein; her children, Joseph D. Rubenstein (Jennifer Shumar) and Alan J. Rubenstein (Roxanne); her grandchildren, Magdelena Rubenstein and Alexander R. Rubenstein (Maury); her great-grandchildren, Tito Rubenstein and Antonio Rubenstein; and her siblings, Darlene, David, James, and Nancy. Pam was especially appreciative of the care and support provided by her sister, Nancy.
Graveside services will be held at noon Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2025, at Etz Chaim Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in recognition of Pam's love of animals may be directed to any Humane Society.
