Peggy Hodson passed away Jan. 19 in Ruskin, Florida, as the result of an extended illness.

She was born in Anderson to David R and Anna Lee (Mattox) Shock on Nov. 30, 1950. Peggy graduated from Pendleton High School in 1969 and Ball State University in 1973.

She married the love of her life, Donnie Hodson, of Middletown, on March 6, 1971. Peg and Donnie were blessed with one daughter, Donika, born March 8, 1975. Peggy worked at various banks and financial institutions through the years, the latest being PNC Bank in the Ruskin area.

Survivors include her husband, Donnie of Ruskin, Florida; daughter, Donika (David) George of Colma, California; and 3-year-old grandson, Jackson George of Colma.

She is also survived by two sisters, Linda Wulle and Christy Miller, both of Anderson; and extended family members: cousins, nieces and nephews.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, David and Ann Shock.

Due to Peggy and her immediate family's request, cremation was arranged through Zipperer Funeral Services of Ruskin, Florida, and there will be no memorial services.
