Priscilla A. Smith
ANDERSON [mdash] Priscilla A. (Huggins) Smith, 67, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 5, 2019, from Community Hospital in Anderson following an extended illness.
She was born on Nov. 15, 1952, in Decatur, Indiana, to Dewey and Vesta (Jones) Huggins, and has lived in the Alexandria area for most of her lifetime.
Priscilla was a graduate of Alexandria-Monroe High School-Class of 1970. She attended Indiana Business College. She worked as an optometry technician for Dr. Greg Tipton for 15 years and then Dr. Macha for 15 years, retiring in 2017. Priscilla enjoyed her euchre card club, spending time at the lake and reading novels.
Survivors include husband, David W. Smith, whomshe married April 12, 1975; daughter, Brandy (Chris) Baldwin, Frankton; son, DJ (Sarah) Smith, Youngsville, North Carolina; grandchildren, Taylor Baldwin, Peyton Baldwin, Easton Smith, Abbott Smith and Berkley Smith; sisters, Nelda (Larry) Hopper of Georgetown, Georgia, Kim (Jim) Reed, Alexandria; brother, Jerry (Marcia) Huggins, Georgetown, Georgia; brother-in-law, Lee Brewer, Wabash; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Nina Brewer.
Services honoring Priscilla's life and legacy will take place at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2019, at Owens Funeral Home, 412 N. Harrison St., Alexandria, with Michael W. Owens officiating. Entombment will follow in Park View Cemetery, Alexandria.
Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society through the funeral home.

Being friends and working with Sil will always be such good memories we drove Greg crazy getting our nails done and hair appointments during office hours watching the OJ Simpson trial on a little tv at work so we wouldn't miss a moment we shared many laughs Sil had a great sense of humor and could always bring a smile to you when you needed it most, my love and prayers go out to all of you.
