Anderson, IN - Retta Myers Stanson, 88, of Anderson passed away on April 17, 2026, at Northview Health and Living following an extended illness.

She was born on May 30, 1937, in Anderson, to Alfred Albert and Jeannette (Woodson) Myers. She graduated from Anderson High School in the class of 1955.

She worked at Cousins Jewelers for 15 years and was primarily a homemaker.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She was a former member of the Order of Eastern Star #154; Ivy Rebekah Lodge, Daughters of Isabella; and Bethesda Shrine #11.

She is survived by her longtime friend, Elizabeth Porter of Anderson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert J. "Bob" Stanson; and two brothers, Tom and Franklin Myers.

Graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery with Deacon Mike Burns officiating.

Memorial contributions to St. Mary's Catholic Church Maintenance Fund.
