Anderson, Indiana - On May 25, 2026, Richard received a message "Come follow me and I will make you fishers of men." Born May 22, 1941, to Cecil and Mary Ann (Webster) Isom.
He retired twice, once from Fisher Guide after 30 years of service, and Continental Inc. after 15 years.
He loved fishing, hunting, camping, gardening and driving his beloved dog, Annie, on the golf cart.
He was a 50-year member of Ovid Masonic Lodge #164.
Richard is survived by his wife, Karen; son, Rick Isom; daughter, Vickie (Tim) Dunn, both of Anderson; son, Chris (Pam) Isom of Sparta, Tennessee; stepson, Greg (Brenda) Barker; stepdaughter, Michele (Eric Sterling) Barker, both of Anderson; sister, Saundra Shultz; sister-in-law, Donna Isom; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John and Phillip; sister-in-law, Pam Isom; and brother-in-law, Charles Schultz.
Cremation will be entrusted to Bozell Funeral Homes and Crematory - Brown-Butz-Diedring Chapel of Anderson. A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
