Anderson, IN - Robert Eugene Moore, 97, of Anderson, passed away on Dec. 9, 2025, at his residence following an extended illness.

He was born on July 22, 1928, in Indianapolis, to Archie and Veda Moore. He graduated from Middletown High School and attended DeVry Institute.

He served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Saipan.

He worked as a stock chaser at Delco Remy for more than 30 years.

He was a member of Chesterfield Christian Church. He was a member of the Summitville Masonic Lodge where he was a Master Mason.

He was very active in the band boosters at Highland High School. He was a part of the Rock Steady Boxing.

He is survived by his wife of 77 years, Joyce (Jeffers) Moore of Anderson; two daughters, Anita Moore (Joe) McCabe of Indianapolis, and Jennifer (Danny) Waymire of Anderson; four grandchildren, Sheri Elaine (Maurice Blanc) Embree of Paris, France, Todd Embree of Indianapolis, Renee (Micheal) Pierce of Campbell, Minnesota, and Sara Waymire of Anderson; two great-grandchildren, Josh Pierce and Jesse Embree; and a granddog, Champ.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Robert Charles Moore; and a brother, Robert Bell.

A private family graveside service will take place at Bronnenberg Cemetery with military graveside rites.

A celebration of life service will take place in July of 2026.

Memorial contributions may be given to Parkinson's Foundation or Chesterfield Christian Church.
