Alexandria, Indiana - ALEXANDRIA — Robert P. "Bob" Mudd, 56, left the chains of his earthly body and gained a new heavenly body on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, following an extended illness.
He was born on Aug. 2, 1969, in Elwood, to Larry and Frances Charlene (Kirby) Mudd and attended Alexandria schools. Bob started working for his dad at Mudd's Trenching Service in Alexandria at the age of 12. At this young age he was taught how to operate heavy equipment of many different types. At the age of 15, Bob left school to work full time in the family business until 1993.

He was a proud member of Kokomo UAW Local 1166. Bob Mudd died sober. His sobriety date was Aug. 19, 2002, and he has remained sober for 24 years thanks to God and Alcoholics Anonymous. Bob was a volunteer at Fairbanks Rehab Hospital and Community Hospital North in Indianapolis for four years after he got sober.
