Anderson - ANDERSON — Ronald Lee Cox, 93, passed on Sept. 2, 2025, at Bethany Pointe Health Campus after a brief illness. He was born on June 29, 1932, in Anderson, and was a lifelong resident. Ron was employed by Delco Remy as a draftsman and retired in 1987 after 36 years of service.

He was an Anderson High School graduate with the class of 1951. He was a member of the New Horizons United Methodist Church (formerly Noble Street United Methodist Church), and a 50-year member of Mount Moriah Masonic Lodge. He was an avid fisherman, and NRA member, and he and his wife enjoyed attending auction sales and collected a wide variety of items including glass and pottery.

Ron was a U.S. Army veteran with the 3rd Infantry, a Ceremonial Regiment called "The Old Guard" and an honor guard at Fort Myer in Arlington, Virginia.

Survivors include his wife Nancy, whom he married June 21, 1958; sister, Jean (husband James) Clevenger of Losantville, brother-in-law, Louis Snyder of Brownsburg; several nieces and nephews and great- and great-great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Geneva (Davis) Cox; sisters, Carolyn ZeBelle, Shirley Brundage, and Connie Snyder; brothers-in-law, Farris Reeder, Robert Brundage, Richard Campbell, Harold Waddell, James Clevenger; sisters-in-law, Fannie Mae Campbell and Patty Waddell; and an infant son.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to noon Friday, Sept. 5, 2025, at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service, followed by Masonic Rites and a funeral service officiated by Rev. Aaron Brown. Burial will follow in Anderson Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to New Horizons United Methodist Church.
