Rosario C. Acosta, 97, Anderson, passed away on May 8, 2017, at Community Northview Care Center, Anderson.

She was born on July 9, 1919, in Puerto Rico, and resided most of her life in New York, but in Anderson for the last few years.

She retired as an LPN in the state of New York.

She loved the New York Yankees, especially Derek Jeter.

Rosario is survived by her daughter, Norma Jimenez; son, Tony A. (Chris) Acosta; stepsons, Michael Brimat, Neal Brimat, Bobby Brimat and Daniel Brimat; grandchildren, David (Michelle) Jimenez II, Mark (Emmy) Acosta, Diane Jimenez and Danny (Ginger) Jimenez; great-grandchildren, David S. Jimenez III, Landon Jimenez, Cameron Jimenez, Robert Acosta, Samuel Jimenez-Hall, Alex Jimenez-Hall, Channing Jimenez-Hall, Dylan Jimenez, Cameron Jimenez and Eli Jimenez; and several great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Antonio A. Acosta Sr.; second husband, Benjamin Brimat; mother, Emilia Cantres; and her father, Tomas Cantres.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Burial will take place in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
