Anderson, Indiana - Rose E. Veneskey, 92, of Anderson, passed away peacefully at home on May 15, 2026.

Born on June 23, 1933, in Bakerton, Pennsylvania, Rose was the beloved daughter of Michael and Mary (Hresco) Gormish. She was married to her cherished husband, Sylvester "Sy" Veneskey, and together they built a loving family.

She is survived by her husband, Sy; her children, Thomas (Carolyn) Veneskey, Steven (Karen) Veneskey, and Susan (Danny) Rockhill; and her brother, Joe Gormish.

Rose also leaves behind a wonderful legacy of grandchildren, Jenny (Willie) Ray, Sara (Caleb) Garrett, Kevin (Kandy) Veneskey, Kelley Veneskey, and Jessica (Erika) Rockhill, as well as five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; eight siblings; her son-in-law, Danny Rockhill; and her grandson, John Humes.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at Bozell Funeral Homes and Crematory, Brown-Butz-Diedring Chapel, 515 E. 53rd St., Anderson, from 5 to 7 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 302 E. 11th St., Anderson. Burial will conclude services at East Maplewood Cemetery.
