Anderson, Indiana - Roy Scott Pettigrew, known to most as Scott, was born in Anderson, on June 10, 1967, and passed unexpectedly on Nov. 2, 2025, from complications of a lifetime diagnosis of asthma.

Scott was referred to by most as the life of the party, and a friend to anyone who met him. He did not know the term stranger. For many years Scott was involved with Anderson Speedway, helping racers to fix and improve their cars. Working on cars, trucks and anything

with an engine was what he lived to do. He enjoyed the work so much that he opened, ran and owned his own shop on Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd in Anderson for over 25 years, Scott's Paint and Body.

Scott was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Pettigrew; mother, Donna Pettigrew and brother, Kent Pettigrew.

He is survived in death by daughters, Courtnie Pettigrew (Mark Miller)

and Ashley Pettigrew, as well as sister Christine Kudlac (Keith). He also left behind several nephews and a niece; and many great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, Nov. 10, 2025, at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory with Pastor Ned Clark officiating. Cremation to take place following service.
