Alexandria, IN - Sandra S. "Sandy" Tucker, 79, of Alexandria, passed away surrounded by her family on March 31, 2026.

She was born on June 7, 1946, in Markleville, and resided most of her life in Alexandria. Sandy attended Markleville schools.

She was a cook in General Motors' canteen, and retired after 30 plus years of service.

She was a member of the Model A and Model T Ford Clubs, but she especially loved to spend time with her family and beloved dog, Gabbi.

Sandy is survived by her loving sons, Gary (Angela) Tucker of Elkhart, Carl Tucker of Muncie, and James "Kenner" (Pam) Tucker of La Porte; grandchildren, Garrett, Kyle, Cameron, Braden, Kaitlyn, Xavier, Cieanna, and Kinsey.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Hazel Whetsel; husband, Jim Tucker; son, John Michael Tucker; and siblings, Carl Whetsel and Bea Green.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson.

Services will follow visitation at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Huntsville Cemetery, Huntsville.
