Pastor Shellie Foard was born July 31, 1946, in Prairie, Mississippi, to Mary Anna and Eddie Foard.
Pastor Shellie worked as a school monitor for Anderson High School and was the pastor at New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church.
Pastor Shellie Foard leaves to cherish his memories daughters, Sondra Woods, Patricia (Walter) Davis, Ruby Leonard, Wendy (Mack) Gray; sons, Shellie Foard Jr., Shawn Foard, Jimmy Jones; adoptive son, Tyrone (Carlena) Vertner; brothers, Malachi (Marilyn) Foard, Jerome (Linda) Foard; 19 grandkids; 37 great-grandkids; three great-great-grandkids; and a host of family and friends.
Pastor Shellie Foard was preceded in death by his wife, Seretha Foard; and parents.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Anderson Zion Baptist Church, 2008 Rev. J.T. Menifee St., with visitation 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 26, 2026, at New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, 2318 Sheridan St. Burial in Maplewood Cemetery.
