MANVEL, Texas — Shirley Faye DiRuzza, 88, of Manvel, Texas, passed away on April 6, 2024, surrounded by her family.
She was born Aug. 23, 1935, in Lapel, to Charles L. and Mary E. (Smith) Moore. Shirley worked at Anderson Community School Corp. as an administrator for a number of years. She loved reading and cheering on the Houston Astros. Most importantly, Shirley loved her family.
Shirley will be dearly missed by her daughters, Ceri (Dan) White and Linda Smith-Thompson; grandchildren, Emily (Kevin), Ian (Jessica) and Jeremy (Liz); great-grandchildren, Kellyn, Vallery, Declan, Chloe, and Caleb.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Verla Wright, Vivian Hays, Barbara Paul, and Michael Moore.
The graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Jones Cemetery, Yorktown.
