Steven Paul Adams
ANDERSON [mdash] Steven Paul Adams, 69, of Anderson, passed away Feb. 20, 2020, at Community Hospital Anderson. He was born May 18, 1950, in Anderson, where he resided his entire life.
Steve graduated from Anderson High School in 1969 and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.
He retired after 32 1/2 years as a journeyman for Guide Lamp Division of General Motors.
Steve was a member the Local 663 Union. He was an avid Pacers fan, Anderson Indians basketball fan and even made the breast plate for the Indian mascot. He loved Indian art, NASCAR and sitting on the front porch swing with Joker the dog.
Steve is survived by his loving spouse, Shirley Adams; his children, Paul Adams and Ginger (Mark) Schmitzerle; his mother, Helen (Bill Lawson) Davenport; granddaughters, Kimberly (Patrick) DeMarchia and Haily'Ana Moles; granddog, Joker; great-grandchildren, Gemma DeMarchia and Logan DeMarchia; sister, Sandy Adams; half sister, Cindy Adams; niece, Angie (John) Parrish and Lindsey Haston; great-nieces, Chasity Turner, Shailey Parrish; great-nephew, Skyler (Kaylie) Parrish; great-great nephews, Jayden and Logan Anderson.
He was preceded in death by father, Richard R. Adams; brother, Scott Haston; grandson, Christopher Corson; niece, Jamie Harless; mother-in-law, Naoe "Granny" Higashi Neal; uncle John Candon; and close friend, Eric Honda.
Visitation will be 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2020, at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St. Anderson.
Services will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2020, at the funeral home, with Brad Storm officiating.
Burial will take place in East Maplewood Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society and the American Diabetes Association.
