Terrill "Terri" Lee Rhodes Ussery, age 73, of Milledgeville, Georgia, passed away Monday, July 29, 2024.

The family will receive friends for Terri's Celebration of Life Saturday, Aug. 24 from 1 pm to 3 p.m. at Mt. Moriah Masonic Lodge, 3921 Nichol Ave., Anderson, Indiana.

Terri was born in Anderson, Indiana, on July 1, 1951, to Warren Rhodes and Patricia Allen Rhodes. She graduated from Madison Heights High School in 1969, earned her bachelor's degree from Indiana State University in 1973, and later earned her master's degree.

Terri enjoyed a career as an elementary school teacher for more than 40 years. She was raised in Anderson and lived most of her life in South Carolina before moving to Milledgeville, Georgia on Lake Sinclair with her husband Gerald. Terri was an avid NASCAR fan. She and Gerald attended many races & tracks over the years, their favorite being Darlington. Her #1 driver was always Jeff Gordon, and more recently Kyle Larson. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church.

Terri is survived by her husband, Gerald Ussery of Milledgeville, Georgia; daughter, Cori (Mark) Stevenson of Tampa, Florida; sons, Matt (Julie) Lindley of Columbia, South Carolina, and Josh Lindley of Columbia, South Carolina; step daughter Erica Ussery, ; stepsons, David (Jill) Ussery and Joshua (Stephanie) Ussery, ; brothers, Scott Allen, Brad Rhodes, Bruce Rhodes and sister Kathy Rhodes. Several cousins, nieces, nephews and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Warren Rhodes, Patricia Allen Rhodes; and her brother, David K. Rhodes.
