Anderson, IN - Vera Calhoun, 83, passed away Jan. 29, 2026.
Vera was born Oct. 15, 1942, to Izetta and Monroe Warner Sr. in Newport, Arkansas.
She was an Anderson High School graduate and retired as a CNA. Vera enjoyed church, gardening, crossword puzzles and spending time with family and friends.
Vera is survived by her sons, Lonnie Davidson Jr., Douglas (Karen) Calhoun, Darrell (Brittany Clemmons) Miller, Willie Peel Jr., David (Elaine) Peel, Alex (Tammie) Peel; daughter, Dell Turner; brother, James (Daisy) Warner; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Glazebrooks Funeral Service, 2822 Nichol Ave., with burial in Maplewood Cemetery.
