Vicki S. (Bourff) Burke
ALEXANDRIA - Vicki S. (Bourff) Burke, 68, met her Lord and Savior face to face from her residence on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2020, following a brief illness.
Vicki was born on Oct. 11, 1951, in Elwood to Raymond and Norma (Tamsett) Bourff and has lived in the Alexandria area for more than 30 years. She was a graduate of Wes-Del High School in Gaston, Class of 1969. Vicki had worked for several years for Central Bank and Trust at the Gaston branch. She enjoyed sewing and gardening at her home.
Vicki answered a call to serve the Lord early in her life. She was dedicated to seeking the Lord's will for her and spreading the Gospel to all whose path she crossed. She served with her husband as co-pastor at the Vermillion Friends Church in rural Alexandria. Vicki had a genuine concern for others and was a blessing to so many.
Survivors: husband, Fred E. Burke, married March 16, 1973; son, Brian (Heather) Burke, Anderson; three grandsons, Joshua Burke, Kaeden Burke and Rylen Burke; brother, Steve Bourff, Alexandria; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Joe Bourff.
Services honoring Vicki's life, legacy and faith will take place at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2020, in the Owens Funeral Home, 412 N. Harrison St., Alexandria. Her husband, Fred E. Burke, will officiate at the services. Cremation will follow.
The family will receive friends at the Owens Funeral Home after 3 p.m. Wednesday prior to the services. Private interment of cremains will take place in Park View Cemetery, Alexandria.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Vermillion Friends Church with envelopes available at the funeral home.
Owens Funeral Home is honored to care for Vicki and serve the Burke family.

I didn't know till 14th I would have been there she's so special in my life. I love her she was there for me in a bad times in my life I learn so very much from her
