Vivian Irene Crum
Vivian Irene Crum, 97, of Alexandria, died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2020, at the Summit Health and Living Center, Summitville after an extended illness.
Vivian was born March 25, 1922, in Elwood, the daughter of Oren and Myrtle Schrougham. She later married Otis Lee Crum on April 27, 1941. He preceded her in death on April 19, 1996.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed many interests, such as cooking, quilting, gardening, puzzle books, watching Jeopardy and golf. She was an avid Indianapolis Colts and Notre Dame football fan. But where she earned her angel's wings was being Pam's caretaker for over 60 years.
Left to carry on her legacy of love are sons, Tom (Betty) Crum, Sam (Jennifer) Crum and Rob Crum. Also surviving are six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Otis Lee Crum; daughter, Pam Crum; and a sister, Glendora Sullivan.
Vivian's funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2020, at 2 p.m. at Whetsel Funeral Service, Alexandria, with Rev. Randy Murphy officiating. Burial will follow in Park View Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from noon to 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials are made to the Activity Fund at the Summit Health and Living Center, 701 S. Main St., Summitville, IN 46070 or in care of the funeral home.
Vivian's family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of the Summit Health and Living Center for their excellent care and attention given to her.
