Anderson, IN - Walter John Howells, 73, of Anderson, passed away on Dec. 30, 2025, at Beaumont Rehabilitation Center following an extended illness.
He was born June 25, 1952, in Anderson, to William J. and Helen Catherine (Mauck) Howells.
He worked at Pepsi Cola as a delivery truck driver for 10 years.
He enjoyed hunting and watching television shows Family Feud and Gunsmoke.
He was survived by his siblings, Mary (Neil) Retherford, Beverly Summers, Richard Howells, Ivan (Jenni Clayton) Howells, and Judy Best, all of Anderson; son, Daniel J. (Kristen) Howells of Frankton; three grandchildren, DJ Howells, Chloe Howells, and Claire Howells; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Rosemarie Howells.
Funeral service will be at noon on Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2026, at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Ned Clark officiating. Burial will follow in East Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to noon on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Wounded Warrior Project or St. Jude's Children Hospital.
