Anderson, IN - Wesley Simmons Jr., 78, passed away Oct. 18, 2025.
Wesley was born Aug. 4, 1947, to Wesley Simmons Sr., and Mary Dixon Simmons in Eden, Mississippi.
He was a 1967 Anderson High School graduate and a U.S. Air Force veteran. Wesley was employed at Sears, Montgomery Ward, JCPenney's and the Anderson Public Library. He enjoyed ping pong, tennis, reading books and spending time with family and friends.
Wesley is survived by his wife, Eleanor Simmons; son, Arnold (Kerrigan) Saunders Jr.; sister, Anna (John) Hampton; three grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 1540 16th St., with visitation two hours prior to service. Burial in Maplewood Cemetery.
