Alexandria, IN - William "Bill" Eugene Golden of Alexandria, Indiana, died Nov. 21, 2025, in Anderson.

He was born on June 15, 1934, to Wilbur and Dorothy Golden in Alexandria. Bill graduated from Summitville High School in 1952 and married his high school sweetheart, Jacqueline "Jackie" Lee Golden, in 1954. Out of high school, Bill worked for Delco Remy until 1959, when he started his own company, Golden Glo Heating and Air Conditioning. He was a blessing to many of his customers, working on their heating units on blustery, cold nights to ensure they had heat. After 40 years of keeping people warm in the winter and cool in the summer. He retired and sold his business.

Bill also served his country in the Army Reserves. After retirement, Bill was able to fulfill his dream of buying a farm to keep his horses on. Bill was an avid roper throughout his life. He was a member of the Indiana Ropers and Doggers Association and could be found most summer weekends and often throughout the year at a rodeo in Indiana, Ohio, or Michigan. He taught all three of his children how to ride as well as many others. In fact Bill loved to teach and he coached his son, Matt, in pole vaulting throughout high school and into college. Later in life, he joined the Anderson University coaching team and coached pole vaulting for both men and women. Bill was an active member of the Church of God, Anderson, Indiana all of his life, attending East Side Church of God for the past 65 years. He was blessed to go on a mission trip one year to Cote D'Ivoire with the church.

Bill and Jackie had three children, William "Kip" Kipling Golden (married to Jill Martin), Wilbur (Matt) Matthew Golden (married to Bev Patterson), and DeLana Golden Borja (married to Paul Borja). He has five grandchildren, Renee Golden, Ryan Golden, Andrew Borja, Quinn Borja, and Jonathon Borja, and three great- grandchildren, Skylar Golden, Kiera Golden, and Emberly Borja.

He is survived by his wife; children; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, as well as his brother, Donald Golden.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Elsie Bradford and Teresa Golden.

There will be a memorial service on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2025, at East Side Church of God, 2600 E. Fifth St., Anderson, at 10 a.m.
